US Says BP Shielded Directors, Blamed Deepwater Rig Workers

Law360, New York (September 6, 2012, 9:33 PM EDT) -- BP PLC's management tried to protect itself by pinning the massive Deepwater Horizon oil spill on "blue-collar rig workers," according to a document unveiled Thursday by the U.S. government in response to BP's proposed $7.8 billion class action settlement with Gulf Coast residents and cleanup workers.
