Distributor Says Upper Deck Set Up Secret Competitors

Law360, New York (September 7, 2012, 3:27 PM EDT) -- A California trading card distributor has accused cardmaker Upper Deck Co. Inc. of fraudulently breaching an exclusive distribution contract by secretly setting up its own competing entities.

J&T Hobby and owner Joseph Pirozzi hit Upper Deck with a lawsuit in San Diego Superior Court on Aug. 31, accusing the card and memorabilia company of creating two distribution services to directly compete with J&T, in violation of the contract.
