NYC Hotel's Mezz Level Doesn't Count As 'Story': Panel

Law360, New York (September 13, 2012, 10:34 PM EDT) -- The developers of the Nolitan, a luxury boutique hotel in Manhattan's Little Italy neighborhood, convinced a local land use committee Thursday to legalize the hotel's mezzanine level despite a ruling from the Department of Buildings that it counts as a "story" and puts the building above its height limit.
