9/11 Responders Gain Federal Cancer Coverage

Law360, New York (September 10, 2012, 9:07 PM EDT) -- The Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act will now cover cancer treatment for responders to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks who were exposed to toxic dust and debris following the World Trade Center collapse, according to a final federal rule announced Monday.

The rule, which will be published in the Federal Register on Wednesday, adds about 50 types of cancer to the list of World Trade Center-related health conditions covered under the act. The additions will become effective 30 days after the rule is published....
