Magnesium Oxide Purchasers Abandon Price-Fixing Case

Law360, New York (September 12, 2012, 6:21 PM EDT) -- Two livestock feed companies and an insulation maker have dropped their proposed class action claiming three chemical companies conspired to fix prices for magnesium oxide, according to an order filed Tuesday.

U.S. District Judge Dickinson R. Debevoise tossed the case against Premier Chemicals LLC, Sumitomo Corp. of America and YAS Inc. one day after Orangeburg Milling Company Inc., Bar ALE Inc., and Air Krete Inc. filed a notice that they no longer wanted to pursue the claims.
