Label Says It's Owed $8M In Royalties On Aaliyah Recordings

Law360, New York (September 12, 2012, 9:05 PM EDT) -- A California judge on Wednesday heard evidence on a claim by record label Blackground Records that a British distributor owes it $8.6 million in unpaid royalties from overseas sales of recordings by artists including the late singer Aaliyah.
