Ex-'Housewives' Star Sheridan Can't Get Firing Row Reheard

Law360, Los Angeles (September 13, 2012, 8:25 PM EDT) -- A California appeals court has denied former "Desperate Housewives" actress Nicollette Sheridan's bid for a rehearing after the court last month nixed her wrongful termination claims against the show's producers, Touchstone Television Productions LLC, attorneys confirmed Thursday.

The decision, dated Sept. 7, is the latest setback for Sheridan, who contends that Touchstone and the show's writing staff killed off the character she portrayed on the show after she complained that "Housewives" creator Marc Cherry struck her in the head during filming in 2008.
