Bausch & Lomb Contact Lens Patent Settlement OK'd

Law360, New York (October 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has approved a settlement agreement between contact lens maker Bausch & Lomb Inc. and patent-holding company Rembrandt Vision Technologies LP, putting to rest part of a patent suit that Rembrandt filed two years ago over soft contact lens technology.

Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Wednesday approved a settlement between B&L and Rembrandt that dismissed claims from both parties with prejudice. Each side agreed to bear its own attorneys' fees and court costs, but...
