Annexation Nets Extortion Charge For Dallas-Area Ex-Mayor

Law360, Dallas (September 13, 2012, 9:43 PM EDT) -- A federal grand jury on Wednesday indicted a former mayor of a small Dallas suburb on an extortion charge for allegedly leveraging his position of power into a $70,000 bribe from a real estate broker who wanted the city to annex a tract of land for development.
