Google's Motorola Secures ITC Probe Of Apple Devices

Law360, New York (September 18, 2012, 2:31 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission will launch an investigation into Motorola Mobility LLC's accusation that Apple Inc.'s iPhones, iPads and laptops infringed seven Motorola patents, the commission announced Tuesday.

The ITC said it would probe whether Apple has been violating Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 by importing its popular products, including the iPhone 4S, third-generation iPad and MacBook Pro. If the ITC decides the devices infringe the patents, it could permanently bar them from entering the U.S.
