Toshiba Sues Hynix Over Chip Patent

Law360, New York (August 2, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Japanese electronics maker Toshiba Corp. has sued Korean chip maker Hynix Semiconductor Inc. in a California federal court, asking the court to declare that Toshiba isn’t infringing a patent for a method for making semiconductors.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District Court of California, is part of the fallout of another patent lawsuit that Toshiba filed against Hynix in the Northern District of Texas in November 2004.
