Judge Pares Animal Testing Claims Against Makeup Giants

Law360, New York (September 21, 2012, 6:31 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Thursday trimmed fraudulent advertising claims in three putative class actions seeking to hold Mary Kay Inc., Estee Lauder Inc. and Avon Products Inc. liable for allegedly misleading customers about their animal testing practices.

Janna Herrera filed suit against Estee, Ashley Stanwood lodged the complaint against Mary Kay and Marina Beltran brought suit against Avon. U.S. District Judge Cormac J.
