Texas High Court Will Hear ConocoPhillips Class Challenge

Law360, Dallas (September 21, 2012, 4:46 PM EDT) -- The Texas Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear a consolidated appeal brought by ConocoPhillips challenging the legitimacy of amended class claims from landowners who say they are owed more money from gas royalties.

ConocoPhillips asked the court in March to decide whether a subclass of landowners could amend their claims after certification to include a new theory of recovery.
