Energy Co. Hit With $32.5M Verdict In Gold-Smuggling Scheme

Law360, Dallas (September 24, 2012, 12:44 PM EDT) -- A Texas jury on Friday awarded a $32.4 million verdict against energy company CAMAC International Corp. and a subsidiary, finding them responsible for violating the terms of their lease of a Gulfstream jet by using it to try to smuggle gold from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
