Home Care Exec Cops To Part In Record $374M Medicare Fraud

Law360, New York (September 24, 2012, 7:48 PM EDT) -- The co-owner of a home health company implicated in submitting more than $43 million in fraudulent Medicare and Medicaid claims as part of the alleged largest-ever Medicare fraud has pled guilty to a conspiracy charge, according to documents filed in Texas federal court Monday.

According to the plea agreement, dated Aug. 23 but filed Monday, Cyprian Akamnonu, who co-owns Ultimate Care Home Health Services Inc. with his wife, Patricia, pled guilty to conspiracy to commit health care fraud as part of an alleged $374 million billing...
