7-Eleven Scores Win In Kansas Hot Fuel MDL

Law360, New York (September 25, 2012, 10:15 PM EDT) -- A Kansas jury on Monday handed a win to 7-Eleven Inc. and two other fuel vendors in a multidistrict litigation stretching back to 2007 that claims they sold gasoline without revealing or accounting for temperature expansion.

The 10-person jury returned a unanimous verdict finding that 7-Eleven, QuikTrip Corp. and Kum & Go LC did not violate the Kansas Consumer Protection Act when they sold motor fuel for a specified price per gallon without disclosing or adjusting for gasoline's expansion in warmer temperatures, according to defense counsel...
