Debevoise & Plimpton Settles Claims Of Race, Gender Bias

Law360, New York (September 26, 2012, 3:29 PM EDT) -- Debevoise & Plimpton LLP reached a settlement Tuesday with a former staffer who claimed a supervisor at the firm gave white male employees preferential treatment and segregated the office seating chart on the basis of race and gender.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Andrew J. Peck signed off on a stipulated dismissal of the case, saying Cathy A. Daves and the firm had reached a settlement agreement and presented it to the court on Tuesday. Additional details on the settlement were not immediately available.
