Eva Longoria's Defunct Co. Fights Ch. 7 Conversion

Law360, New York (September 26, 2012, 1:07 PM EDT) -- Actress Eva Longoria's Las Vegas-based Beso LLC on Tuesday opposed efforts to convert its bankruptcy to Chapter 7, saying all proceeds left over from selling the company to Landry's Restaurants Inc. subsidiary CHLN Inc. were already pledged.

When high expenses and low income prompted Beso to file for Chapter 11 protection in January 2011, it operated its restaurant and nightclub at premises leased by The Crystals at CityCenter, a Las Vegas luxury retail complex. In October, Judge Nakagawa approved the sale of Beso's assets to CHLN...
