Assured Guaranty Calls $1B Lehman Suit A Stretch

Law360, New York (September 27, 2012, 3:51 PM EDT) -- An attorney for a subsidiary of monoline insurer Assured Guaranty Ltd. told a New York judge Thursday that Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.'s bankrupt British subsidiary was overreaching in its demand for a $1.4 billion fee for early termination of a mortgage-linked securities transaction contract.
