Verizon Drops Challenge To FCC Spectrum Rules

Law360 (October 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Verizon Wireless on Tuesday dropped its legal challenge of the Federal Communications Commission's rules for an upcoming radio spectrum auction, after a federal court rejected Verizon Wireless' attempts to speed up consideration of the case.

The company filed a notice with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia that it was dropping its appeal since the court had refused to consider the case on an expedited schedule that would conclude before the auction begins in January.
