Paramount Contract Survives In 'Godfather' Book Sequel Fight

Law360, New York (September 28, 2012, 4:01 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge refused Wednesday to cancel a contract between Mario Puzo and Paramount Pictures Corp. giving the studio the copyrights to Puzo's “Godfather” novels, saying the estate cannot deny Paramount holds publishing rights while also citing the studio's alleged breach of these rights.
