Kraft Paying $1.75M To Settle Sales Workers' OT Suits

Law360, New York (October 1, 2012, 1:41 PM EDT) -- Kraft Foods Global Inc. agreed Friday to pay $1.75 million to resolve class claims that it didn't pay its Pennsylvania sales employees proper overtime wages following a ruling that the global food conglomerate's method for calculating overtime pay wasn't permitted under state law.

The settlement resolves two class actions pending in Pennsylvania federal court that allege Kraft's payment of overtime wages under the so-called fluctuating workweek method failed to comply with the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act.
