FedEx To Pay $10M To Settle OT, Meal Break Suit

Law360, New York (October 1, 2012, 6:32 PM EDT) -- FedEx Office & Print Services Inc. on Friday reached a settlement deal of nearly $10 million with thousands of former employees in a proposed class action in California federal court accusing the company of stiffing workers on meal breaks and overtime wages.

The parties, who have been locked in litigation for three years, petitioned a California federal judge to preliminarily approve the agreement, in which FedEx will shell out $9.625 million in unpaid overtime wages, vacation wages and work reimbursements to members of the class....
