Wyndham Says Rival Plotted Time Share Bait-And-Switch

Law360, New York (October 2, 2012, 2:17 PM EDT) -- Wyndham Vacation Resorts Inc. filed suit Friday in Tennessee federal court alleging a rival company started by some of its former employees engaged in a bait-and-switch scheme to lure Wyndham time share owners to transfer or breach their contracts.

Wyndham’s suit accuses The Consulting Group Inc. of setting up marketing booths and targeting Wyndham time share owners at several of its Tennessee properties by deceptively marketing to them supposed vacation ownership contracts with reduced maintenance fees.
