Verizon, AT&T, Others Face Flurry Of Fiber Optics Suits

Law360, New York (October 3, 2012, 1:07 PM EDT) -- AT&T Inc., Verizon Communications Inc., TimeWarner Cable Inc. and 13 other companies were hit with a flood of patent infringement suits in Delaware federal court Monday alleging their communications networks, systems and components infringe several fiber optic systems patents held by GlobeTecTrust LLC.

The suits seek injunctions preventing the defendants from infringing GlobeTecTrust’s patents, and also seek damages, attorneys' fees and other costs, according to the complaints.
