$1B Ancestral Mineral Rights Claim Blocked By Texas Court

Law360, Houston (October 4, 2012, 6:08 PM EDT) -- A Texas appeals court on Thursday disagreed with a group’s claim in a $1 billion lawsuit that it is the true owner of land and mineral rights being developed by Windward Oil and Gas Corp., finding its interest was transferred more than 160 years ago.
