ING, Others Beat Out Investor's $15M Madoff Loss Suit

Law360, New York (October 4, 2012, 6:43 PM EDT) -- A New York state judge has dismissed a suit blaming several large insurers for more than $15 million lost through investments in Bernard Madoff's notorious Ponzi scheme, ruling that plaintiff SSR II LLC lacked standing or failed to state a claim for all of its allegations.

SSR accused John Hancock Life Insurance Co., Mass Mutual Financial Group affiliates and an ING Groep NV affiliate of squandering its life insurance policies by pouring money into Madoff feeder funds run by Tremont Group Holdings Inc., another defendant....
