Hackers' Spokesman Charged With Trying To Expose FBI Agent

Law360, New York (October 4, 2012, 9:15 PM EDT) -- A federal grand jury in Texas on Wednesday returned an indictment against Barrett L. Brown, the spokesman for hacker organization Anonymous, in response to threatening tweets he posted on Twitter targeting a federal agent and attempt to release that agent’s personal information publicly.

The three-count indictment charges Brown with making an Internet threat, conspiring to make restricted personal information of a federal employee publicly available and retaliation against a federal law enforcement officer. He was arrested last month for the conduct described in the indictment....
