Eagle Eyes Seeks Reduced $5M Fine In Price-Fixing Scheme

Law360, New York (October 9, 2012, 5:32 PM EDT) -- Taiwanese auto lights manufacturer Eagle Eyes Traffic Industrial Co. Ltd. and its U.S. distributor on Monday urged a California judge for a lenient sentence after pleading guilty to charges that it was involved in an international conspiracy to fix prices on aftermarket auto lights, asking the court to impose a reduced $5 million fine.

Eagle Eyes and its E-Lite Automotive Inc. distributor said in a sentencing memorandum that the reduced fine is warranted because the companies cooperated with U.S. authorities in helping to unravel the illegal...
