8th Circ. Says Altering Work Schedules To Limit Costs OK

Law360, New York (October 10, 2012, 3:26 PM EDT) -- The Eighth Circuit on Wednesday upheld the dismissal of a class action challenging an Arkansas-based natural gas company's decision to change employees' workweeks in a way that reduced their overtime hours, saying the Fair Labor Standards Act allows employers to alter work schedules in order to reduce labor expenses.
