Motorola Loses Bid To Seal Docs In Apple-Samsung IP Battle

Law360, New York (October 10, 2012, 10:19 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday denied Motorola Mobility LLC's bid to seal its patent licensing agreement with Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. in Samsung's patent battle with Apple Inc. that has resulted in a $1.05 billion jury award for Apple.

In a ruling from the bench, U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul S. Grewal denied Motorola's request to seal documents related to a now-expired patent license agreement with Samsung.
