AmEx Hit With Suit Over Deceptive Account Protector Plan

Law360, New York (October 11, 2012, 4:51 PM EDT) -- American Express Co. was hit with a proposed class action last week in New York federal court alleging it unlawfully enrolled some customers in a now-defunct account protection plan without their permission and denied contracted benefits to others in violation of deceptive trade laws.
