Senator Demands More Info On VA Conference Spending

Law360, New York (October 12, 2012, 5:21 PM EDT) -- Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, on Wednesday demanded more information from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs on two 2011 Orlando conferences, which reportedly included more than $760,000 in excessive or wasteful spending, saying she was concerned that the agency’s lax oversight spoke to a larger cultural problem.
