SanDisk Can't Skirt Licensee's Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (October 15, 2012, 1:12 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Friday allowed PNY Technologies Inc. to pursue allegations that SanDisk Corp. threatened litigation to force rivals into anti-competitive patent licensing agreements, finding an amended PNY complaint addressed deficiencies that had led to an earlier suit's dismissal.

U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, who in April dismissed PNY's initial antitrust complaint but allowed the company the chance to make changes, refused to toss the suit a second time after determining the plaintiff had responded to all of her concerns.
