Aegis Unit Finance Chief Dodges Prison In $20M Books Fraud

Law360, New York (October 16, 2012, 7:26 PM EDT) -- The former finance head of Aegis Group PLC's outdoor advertising unit Posterscope USA was sentenced to one year of probation Tuesday for his participation in a $19.8 million accounting fraud scheme, avoiding prison despite Aegis' request that he serve time.

At a hearing in New York, U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff sentenced James Buckley to time served and a year of supervised release for helping Posterscope fudge its accounting to make it appear as though the company was hitting performance targets.
