Cablevision, Dish Eye Settlement Of $2.4B HD Deal Trial

Law360, New York (October 18, 2012, 4:59 PM EDT) -- Cablevision System Corp. and DISH Network Corp. might soon settle their $2.4 billion programming deal dispute, court records indicated Thursday, as allegations that Dish destroyed documents and a courtroom altercation with an attorney's father have mired the often-heated trial in recent days.

The court docket indicated Thursday that New York Supreme Court Judge Richard B. Lowe III would address a possible settlement when the trial reconvenes Monday. The docket was later updated to say that the case was adjourned for briefing.
