Time Warner's Internet Ads Are Misleading, 2nd Circ. Told

Law360, New York (October 26, 2012, 7:54 PM EDT) -- Consumers on Friday urged the Second Circuit to reopen a putative class action claiming Time Warner Inc. broke its promise to provide high-speed Internet, arguing that selective language in Time Warner advertisements does not let the company off the hook.

Ads that promise speeds "up to" several times faster than Time Warner's competitors mislead consumers, since Time Warner's cable Internet is slower than even dial-up at times, attorney Michael R. Reese of Reese Richman LLP told a Second Circuit panel at oral arguments in Manhattan....
