Corzine Sees No Fraud In 'Confident' MF Global Statements

Law360, New York (October 22, 2012, 3:16 PM EDT) -- Former MF Global Holdings Inc. CEO Jon Corzine pressed a New York federal judge Friday to dismiss him from a fraud class action over the firm's collapse, saying his optimistic statements about the brokerage were merely expressions of confidence.

Attorneys for Corzine said he did not intentionally mislead investors about the firm’s massive exposure to European sovereign debt before an October 2011 bankruptcy filing.
