Cablevision, AMC Settle $2.4B Suit Against Dish For $700M

Law360, New York (October 21, 2012, 10:32 PM EDT) -- Cablevision Systems Corp. and its former subsidiary AMC Networks Inc. dropped their $2.4 billion high-definition television programming suit against DISH Network Corp. for $700 million on Sunday, ending what had been a raucous three-week trial.

The $700 million in cash that Dish will pay includes $80 million for Cablevision’s licenses for multichannel video and data distribution service in 45 U.S. metropolitan areas.
