Toys 'R' Us Dodges Sales Ban In Kids Tablet Trade Secrets Suit

Law360, New York (October 22, 2012, 6:20 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Friday rejected tech company Fuhu Inc.'s early bid to block sales of Toys "R" Us Inc.'s Tabeo children's tablet, a product Fuhu claims the huge toy retailer created by stealing trade secrets and trade dress.

U.S. District Judge William Q. Hayes said Fuhu fell short of the requirements for a “drastic” remedy like an ex parte temporary restraining order that would have barred sales of the Tabeo as Toys "R" Us heads into the holiday season.
