FedEx Settles Customers' FACTA Suit With $50 Gift Cards

Law360, New York (October 23, 2012, 2:36 PM EDT) -- FedEx Office and Print Services Inc. has reached a settlement with a proposed class of consumers who say the company violated the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act by printing receipts that show too many debit or credit card numbers, plaintiffs said Monday.

The settlement will allow class members to receive a $50 FedEx store card for use on copy machines, faxes, computer rentals, Internet access and picture-printing stations, according to a motion for preliminary approval filed by the plaintiffs in the case.
