GAO Backs Contractor In $100M Army Corps Contract Row

Law360, New York (October 23, 2012, 6:31 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office released a decision Monday backing Lifecycle Construction Services LLC's protest against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, agreeing the contractor had been improperly excluded from a $100 million contract when its estimated costs were deemed too low.

The GAO found the rejection of Lifecycle's proposal had been unreasonable, based on an evaluation process that compared costs to a flawed standard, according to the Sept. 27 opinion released Monday.
