AA, Google Trademark Suit Will Head To Trial

Law360, New York (October 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has ruled that American Airlines Inc.'s trademark infringement suit against Google, which accuses the leading search engine of helping third parties mislead consumers through its sponsored links, can proceed to trial.

In an Oct. 24 order, Judge John McBride of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas denied Google's motion to dismiss the case, giving no reason for the decision.

Neither company could immediately be reached for comment on Tuesday.
