Law360, New York (October 24, 2012, 4:57 PM EDT) -- Former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. director Rajat Gupta, the most high-profile defendant targeted in the government's recent crackdown on insider trading, was sentenced to two years in prison Wednesday in New York federal court.

Gupta, a business luminary best known for his stint as first non-U.S. born leader of the multinational consultancy McKinsey & Co., passed tips from private Goldman board meetings to hedge fund founder Raj Rajaratnam.
