AEG Urges Sanctions In Suit Over Jackson's Death

Law360, Los Angeles (October 24, 2012, 9:58 PM EDT) -- Anschutz Entertainment Group Inc. urged a California judge Wednesday to sanction Michael Jackson's family and its attorneys in a suit over AEG's decision to hire the doctor convicted in the performer's death, saying the Jackson side leaked confidential documents to the press.

In an often heated hearing before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Yvette M. Palazuelos on Wednesday, AEG's attorney Marvin Putnam of O'Melveny & Myers LLP said the judge should fine Jackson's family and their lawyers more than $50,000, and bar them from using more...
