Attys Seek $23.5M For Settlements In LCD Price-Fixing Case

Law360, New York (October 29, 2012, 1:38 PM EDT) -- Counsel for a direct purchaser class in multidistrict litigation accusing several electronics makers of fixing liquid crystal display prices requested $23.5 million in attorneys' fees and costs on Friday in connection with settlements reached with AU Optronics Corp. and Toshiba Corp.

The deals with AUO and Toshiba, which resolved claims from direct purchasers that the electronics makers took part in an alleged LCD cartel, totaled $68 million. The requested attorneys' fees of $20.4 million would make up about 30 percent of that total, according to the...
