Suit Says $200M Iberdrola Wind Farm Hurts Home Prices, Health

Law360, Washington (October 30, 2012, 4:25 PM EDT) -- A group of upstate New York residents has sued Iberdrola USA Inc. and several other companies behind a $200 million wind project in state court, claiming the noise, vibrations and location of the 37 turbines have caused significant heath problems and plummeting housing prices.

While Iberdrola, Atlantic Wind USA and the other defendants allegedly receive significant financial benefits from the Hardscrabble Wind Power Project, it comes at too high a price for residents of rural Fairfield, Middleville and Norway, N.Y., according to the complaint filed in Albany...
