NY High Court Won't Hear Appeal Over Tribeca Rent Perks

Law360, New York (October 31, 2012, 6:09 PM EDT) -- New York’s highest court on Tuesday declined to review a lower court’s rejection of a bid by residents of a luxury Tribeca apartment complex for rent stabilization funds after the city mistakenly sent rent-control benefits to the complex’s owner after it left a rent regulation program. 

In its Tuesday decision list, the New York Court of Appeals denied the residents' motion for leave to appeal the ruling and said motions to file amici curiae briefs on the matter were now "academic" given the appeal order. ...
