Oracle Faces IP Suit Over WebLogic Server

Law360, New York (November 2, 2012, 3:19 PM EDT) -- Enterprise data solutions company Thought Inc. slapped Oracle Corp. with a patent lawsuit in California on Wednesday, accusing Oracle of “massive” infringement and targeting several versions of Oracle Weblogic Server and other products. 

Thought said it invented a middleware mapping layer for saving object and table information using Java programming language, and incorporated its innovations into its CocoBase product, which was introduced in 1997.
