COFC Lets Hawker Beechcraft's $355M Air Force Contract Stand

Law360, New York (November 2, 2012, 3:34 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Federal Claims ruled Thursday that Sierra Nevada Corp. can't win back a $355 million U.S. Air Force contract awarded to Hawker Beechcraft Defense Co., saying the Air Force properly rescinded Sierra's contract after finding flaws in the contract process.

Sierra argued the Air Force erred in revoking its contract to supply planes to Afghanistan after Hawker Beechcraft alleged that favoritism toward Sierra skewed the process, but Judge Christine Odell Cook Miller found the Air Force was well within its right to scrap...
